Ingredients For fruit cake with a kick

1 lbbutter, softened

1 lbbrown sugar

12eggs

1 lbflour
-
2 lbgolden raisins
-
4 lbcandied mixed fruit

2 1/2 lbseedless dates chopped

1 lbbrazil nuts (optional)

1 lbpecans
-
1/2 lbenglish walnuts
-
1/2 lbblack walnuts
-
1/2 lbalmonds
-
1jar strawberry jam
-
1jar fig preserves
-
1large apple (peeled and chopped)

2 tspcinnamon, cloves, mace, and allspice

3 capricot brandy..you can use any fruit flavor you want
How To Make fruit cake with a kick

1soak candied fruit, apple, and raisins over night in the brandy.

2chop and flour all the nuts. set aside

3sift flour and spices together. cream butter, sugar, and eggs together then add to flour mix. fold in fruit, nuts, and preserves.

4grease brown paper on both sides cut to fit either 1 tube pan or 4 loaf pans.

5place pans in a water bath and bake at 275 degrees till a tooth pick comes out clean

6use red and green candied cherries on top for decorations
