Ingredients For fresh strawberry sheet cake

  • 1 pkg
    white cake mix
  • 1 box
    3 oz strawberry jello, dry
  • 1 c
    fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1 c
    canola oil
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • strawberry cream cheese frosting
  • 1 pkg
    8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature, use only real butter
  • 3 1/2 c
    powdered sugar, sifted
  • 3/4 c
    fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make fresh strawberry sheet cake

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray 13x9 pan with non-stick spray.

    Place cake mix, jello, strawberries, oil, milk, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix for 3 minutes scrapping down sides as needed. Pour batter into pan. Bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Remove cake and cool completely.

    Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting.

    Mix cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add in vanilla. Add powdered sugar one cup at a time to creamed mixture. Add strawberries and stir till completely mixed. If frosting gets thick add additional milk about a tsp at a time.

    Store cake in refrigerator overnight before serving.
