Ingredients For fresh apple pound cake

1 1/2 ccooking oil

2 csugar
-
3 lgeggs

3 csifted plain flour

1 tspsalt

1 tspbaking soda
-
2 tspvanilla extract

2 tspcinnamon

3 lgapples,cored, peeled and cut into small peices

1 cchopped nuts
- SAUCE
-
3/4 cstick butter, or margarine

1 clight brown sugar
-
2 Tbspmilk, or cream
How To Make fresh apple pound cake

1Combine oil, sugar and eggs. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Combine salt, soda, cinnamon, vanilla and flour. Mix together for another couple of minutes until combined. Fold in apples and nuts. Bake at 300 degrees for about 1 hour and 30 minutes or until done by checking with a tooth pick. Cool 20 minutes and then pour on the Sauce.

2For the Sauce Combine all ingredients into a pan, bring to a boil, cool slightly, and then pour on cooled cake. It will be a bit runny at first, so I always let it sit a little while, making sure I stir a bit, so it won't get that shell on top. But, so good. It really adds the finishing touch to this cake. Just fabulous.
