This is the first cake my Grandmother taught me to bake. It is a very simple recipe.

Ingredients For fresh apple cake

1 stickunsalted butter

2 csugar
-
2 lgeggs
-
1/2 tspsalt

2 1/2 call-purpose flour

2 tspbaking powder
-
2 tspbaking soda
-
2 tspcinnamon

4 cfinely chopped apples
-
1 cchopped nuts
How To Make fresh apple cake

1Cream Butter and Sugar together. Beat in Eggs.

2In a separate bowl, whisk together the Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda & Cinnamon.

3Mix dry ingredients into soft ingredients. Add slowly and do not overbeat.

4Fold in Apples & Nuts.

5Pour into greased & floured 9x13 pan. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 35-45 minutes or until cake tests done.

6Wonderful served warm or cold. I usually serve it warm with a drizzle of caramel & whipped cream.
