A Secret Ingredient recipe. This cake is loaded with fresh apples. You can use pears, instead, if you wish.

Ingredients For fresh apple cake

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. each baking soda, baking powder and salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp. each nutmeg and mace
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 cups chopped apples or pears
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

How To Make fresh apple cake

    Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and mace in bowl. Beat sugar and oil together in another bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla. Add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in apples and pecans; batter will be stiff. Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake in preheated 350 oven for 1 hour or til a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Invert onto serving plate. Makes 12 servings. Secret Ingredients.
