This cake is loaded with sherry! It's always a hit and so easy to make. I also make it with a scratch cake recipe but have developed this quick and easy version which is just as good!

Ingredients For fran's sherry cake

  • CAKE:
  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 box
    vanilla instant pudding mix, 6-oz.
  • 3/4 c
    canola oil
  • 3/4 c
    cream sherry
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • WHILE COOLING:
  • 1/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c
    cream sherry
  • GLAZE
  • 2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cream sherry

How To Make fran's sherry cake

    Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • 2
    Mix all ingredients except the powdered sugar on medium speed for 5 minutes. Mixture will be thick.

    Pour into well greased bundt pan and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.

    While cooling mix 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1/2 cup sherry. Poke holes in cake with a fork and drizzle while still in pan.

    Turn out pan onto cooling rack. Mix glaze ingredients and pour over cake while still warm.
