Ingredients For fireman bob's mud cake my way.....

  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c
    unsifted flour
  • 1/4 c
    unsweetened cocoa
  • dash salt
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts ( walnuts or pecans )
  • 1 jar
    ( 7 oz. ) marshmallow cream
  • mud cake frosting
  • 1/3 c
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c
    powdered sugar

How To Make fireman bob's mud cake my way.....

    In large bowl, beat eggs, margarine, sugar, vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour, cocoa, and salt. Beat until well blended. Fold in nuts. Spread batter into a 9 x 13 pan which has been greased. Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350*.

    Immediately after removing from oven, place dollops of marshmallow cream on cake, spread until smooth. Let cool 1 hour before frosting.

    Mud Cake Frosting: 1/3 cup margarine 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa 1/3 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 21/2 cups powdered sugar

    In saucepan melt margarine, stir in cocoa and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients. Stir till smooth. Spread on top of marshmallow cream. When frosting has cooled, cut into 1 inch squares. Enjoy!
