Ingredients For fig cake

1 ptfig preserves

2 1/2 csugar

1/4 cbutter
-
4eggs
-
1 cbuttermilk

1 tspsoda
-
3 cflour
-
1 tspnutmeg
-
1 tspcloves
-
1 tspcinnamon

1 1/2 tspvanilla

2 cpecans, in pieces
How To Make fig cake

1Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream sugar and butter; add beaten eggs.

2Mix buttermilk and soda and then add to first mixture.

3Add flour gradually, add nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon.

4Add fig preserves, vanilla and nuts.

5Bake in tube pan 1 1/2 hours or until done at 300 degrees. This is a very dense cake.
