My favorite aunt, (I won't give a name!) made this delicious cake and I finally talked her out of the recipe! Be sure to start with a cold oven.

Ingredients For favorite aunt's pound cake

  • 2 stick
    oleo
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 6
    eggs
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 3 c
    sugar, sifted
  • 2 c
    flour, sifted
  • 3 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make favorite aunt's pound cake

  • 1
    Cream together butter and oleo. Add 2 eggs, then cream cheese and sugar. Mix in 1 cup flour. Add 2 eggs and mix in 1 cup flour. Mix in last 2 eggs and vanilla. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake in cold start oven 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees.
