Ingredients For dutch apple drop cakes

  • 1
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    melted butter
  • 2 lg
    tart apples, unpeeled & chopped
  • powdered sugar for coating
  • salad oil for deep fat frying

How To Make dutch apple drop cakes

  • 1
    Beat eggs until foamy, add milk. Stir in flour, bk powder, salt & sugar. Fold in butter & apples.

    Heat 2 inches of oil to 370 degrees on a deep fat thermometer. Drop batter carefully by spoonfuls into hot oil. Fry until light brown.

    Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
