Ingredients For dutch apple cake

1/4 cbutter, softened

3/4 csugar

2eggs

2 1/4 ccake flour

3 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

3/4 cmilk

1 tspvanilla extract

2-3 cthinly sliced apples (mixed with a 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice with 1/4 cup water) drain before using
How To Make dutch apple cake

1Cream butter, sugar and eggs together. Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt and add alternately with the milk to the first mixture. Add vanilla and beat thoroughly.

2Pour into a greased pan, having batter 1 inch deep in 9-inch cake pan or a springform pan. Arrange thinly sliced apples in rows on top of batter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and dot with small bits of butter. Bake in a moderate oven (350º) for 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
