I enjoy just a plain cupcake. This has great flavors and is not overly sweet. Just delicious!

Ingredients For delicious vanilla & cream cheese cupcakes

  • CUPCAKES
  • 1 box
    cake mix (white or vanilla)
  • 2/3 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 5
    eggs
  • FROSTING
  • 1/4 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 1 8oz pkg
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    confectioners' sugar

How To Make delicious vanilla & cream cheese cupcakes

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

    To make the cupcakes, place the cake mix in a mixing bowl.
  • 3
    Melt the butter in the microwave and mix it into the cake batter.

    Add the milk to the mixture, whisking well.

    Add each egg, one at a time, whisking well after each addition.

    Prepare your cupcake pans with cupcake papers. This makes 24, so you may have to do it in batches.

    Fill each cup 2/3 full.

    Bake for 19-24 minutes. Cool.

    To make the frosting, beat the butter and cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth. Slowly add the vanilla and the confectioners' sugar, blending until creamy.

    Once cupcakes are cooled, you can frost them. I added sprinkles to some of mine.

    The frosting would also be great with some lemon zest or you could add some food coloring so they have a little pizzaz! The possibilities are endless!
