As a teenager I worked in a bakery. We used to save the crumbs to eat later, they were the best part of the crumb cake. I have always looked for a crumb cake recipe. My girlfriend's mother gave me the recipe & it is the best. Not only does it taste good it is easy to make.

Ingredients For crumb cake recipe

  • 1 box
    duncan hines golden deluxe mix
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted
  • 2/3 c
    water
  • 3
    eggs
  • CRUMBS
  • 1 lb
    butter, cold
  • 4 c
    flour
  • 1 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 3 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 3 tsp
    vanilla
  • powdered sugar

How To Make crumb cake recipe

    Mix cake ingredients and beat about 4 minutes.Prepare 10 x 15 inch pan by greasing and flouring. Pour mix into pan. Bake atleast 17 minutes or until lightly browned in a 350 oven.

    Mix all ingredients together except powdered sugar, until crumbly.

    When you remove the cake from oven, crumble crumbs all over top and continue to bake for atleast 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

    When cake is cool sprinkle or sift generously with powdered sugar. Eat and Enjoy!!
