Ingredients For creme de menthe brownies

  • 1 box
    brownie mix or use recipe on nestle or hersey cocoa
  • 2 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    creme de menthe
  • 1 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter

How To Make creme de menthe brownies

    Make brownies from scratch using recipe on Nestle or Hersey cocoa container. Or, use your favorite boxed brownie mix. Use a recipe for at least an 11 x 7 pan or 13 x 9 pan. Bake and cool completely.

    Mint Layer: Using electric mixer beat confectioners sugar, 1/2 cup butter and Creme De Menthe until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies. Refrigerate to firm up mint layer.

    Frosting Layer: Melt 6 Tbls. butter and 1 cup chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Cool. Pour and spread over mint layer. Keep brownies refrigerated to keep chocolate firm.

    Remove from refrigerator about 20 minutes before serving.
