One of my cousins, Teresa, came for a visit and while here she made us this cake. It quickly became one of our family's favorite cakes.

Ingredients For cousin t's white wine cake

1 box of duncan hines moist deluxe butter recipe golden cake mix (yes, the name of the cake mix is correct!)

1 small box of instant french vanilla pudding mix

2 tablespoons of honey

4 large eggs

1/2 cup milk
-
1/2 cup sutter home charonnay white wine (or any other white wine)

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup pecan pieces
How To Make cousin t's white wine cake

1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour Bunt pan then set aside. Mix dry cake mix, dry pudding mix,honey, eggs,milk, white wine and vegetable oil together very well. Stir in the pecan pieces. Pour batter into the prepared Bunt pan. Bake for 1 hour. About 5 minutes before cake is done, make the White Wine Glaze. White Wine Glaze 1 stick butter or margarine 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup Sutter Home Chardonney white wine (or any other white wine) Melt butter or margarine in medium size saucepan. Add the sugar and white wine and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes. When White Wine Cake is done, remove from oven then poke holes all over the top of the cake then pour the glaze over cake. Let cake sit on wire rack for 30 minutes, then remove from pan. Can serve while warm or at room temp.
