  • 3 c
    rolled oats, divided
  • 3 c
    Oreo cookie crumbs, divided
  • 3/4 c
    vanilla flavored almond milk
  • 1 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1 box
    devil's food cake mix
  • 1 1/4 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 3
    eggs
  • 8
    Oreos cookies, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1/2 c
    cane sugar
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 can
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c
    half and half
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 c
    vanilla chips

How To Make cookies and cream oats layer cake

    In a medium jar, combine 1 cup rolled oats, 1 cup Oreo cookie crumbs, vanilla almond milk and cream of tartar;s tir well with a fork for 2 minutes until blended.

    Cover and refrigerated for 4 hours.

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Coat two 9" round cake pans with cooking spray.

    In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, eggs and crushed Oreo cookies; beat on low speed for 40 seconds.

    Add cookies-and-cream oat mixture into the cake batter. Beat again on medium speed for 3 minutes.

    Pour into the cake pans. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted the center comes out clean. Cool completely for 12 minutes.

    Heat 2 margarine in a large skillet over medium heat. Add remaining rolled oats and cane sugar, saute for 4 minutes or until browned. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup Oreo cookie crumbs.

    In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, sweet condensed milk, half and half and cream cheese; whisk well until blended and smooth.

    Place one layer of cake onto a serving plate. Spread half of the frosting on top, thick and evenly. Add sauteed oat mixture all over the frosting.

    Place another cake on top. Spread remaining frosting on the top and sides of the cake. Sprinkle with remaining Oreo cookie crumbs.
