I kind of combined ingredients from a couple of favorite cake recipes to come up with my own moist, delicious coconut cake. A favorite now, requested often.

Ingredients For coconut cream pound cake

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix, no pudding
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    canola oil
  • 1 box
    instant coconut pudding
  • 1 sm
    bag sweetened coconut
  • 1 tsp
    coconut flavoring
  • 1 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • GLAZE
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    coconut flavoring

How To Make coconut cream pound cake

  • 1
    Blend first four ingredients with hand mixer. Add flavoring. Stir in coconut by hand. Swirl in sour cream just until blended. Pour in greased tube pan. Bake 1 hour @ 350 degrees.

    Glaze: Boil sugar and water 1 minute. Remove from heat, add flavoring. Pour over warm cake.
