I love Coconut cakes, and Ive tried many different recipes, but this has become the one and only coconut cake recipe I always use, it is so moist and good, it makes a big tall cake with alot of yummy frosting.

Ingredients For coconut cake & frosting

  • 1 box
    duncan hines butter white cake mix
  • 2 eight oz
    sour cream
  • 2 pkg
    frozen coconut
  • 1 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 lg
    cool whip

How To Make coconut cake & frosting

  • 1
    Bake cake in 3 layers according to directions on box. Split cakes in half when cool.

    Put sour cream, coconut, sugar and cool whip together. Mix well with spatula, spread between layers, then top and sides of cake, until using all frosting.

    Refrigerate. (Can be made day before) The longer it is refridgerated the better it gets
