Ingredients For classic butter cream frosting

  • CLASSIC BUTTER CREAM
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp
    shortening
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 tsp
    vanilla or almond extract
  • 1 lb (4 c.
    confectioners' sugar
  • CHOCOLATE BUTTER CREAM
  • 2/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 3 Tbsp
    more of butter
  • 1/8 tsp
    more of salt
  • FOR CHOCOLATE FROSTING USE VANILLA EXTRACT

How To Make classic butter cream frosting

  • 1
    Mix all ingredients EXCEPT 2 cups of the confectioners' sugar, blend well.

    Gradually add remaining sugar while mixing.

    Beat at high speed for 10 minutes.
  • 4
    Cover while not in use. Do not refrigerate.
