This is a Heirloom recipe handed down from my husbands Mother, Janice Arnold. Serve warm everyone loves it. Never have any left overs.

Ingredients For cinnamon supper cake

3/4 csugar

1/4 cshortening

1egg
-
1 tspvanilla

1/2 cmilk

1 cflour
-
1 1/2 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt

1 Tbspbutter

1 tspcinnamon

3 Tbsppowder sugar
How To Make cinnamon supper cake

1Gradually add sugar to shortening, creaming until fluffy. Add egg, beat well. Add vanilla and milk. Sift together and add flour, baking powder and salt. Beat until smooth.

2Bake in a 9 inch round layer pan or 8 inch square pan at 375 degrees for 20-25 min.

3Remove from oven. At once spread with butter, than sprinkle with cinnamon and powder sugar over cake. Serve warm.
