Ingredients For cinnamon & raisin scones

1 3/4 cflour
-
1/3 cbrown sugar
-
4 tspbaking powder
-
1 tspcinnamon
-
1/3 cbutter or margarine
-
2 1/2 choney bunches of oats cereal
-
2eggs, beaten
-
1/2 craisins
-
1egg, beaten with 1 tsp water
-
1/2 cbuttermilk* (may use substitute)
- BUTTERMILK SUBSITITUTE:

1 1/2 tsplemon juice or vinegar

1/2 cmilk
How To Make cinnamon & raisin scones

1Preheat oven to 400 F & grease a baking sheet.

2Combine, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon in a large bowl.

3Cut in butter until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Add cereal and mix well.

4Combine two eggs, buttermilk and raisins in separate bowl. Add to cereal mixture and stir until dough clings together.

5Knead on a floured surface 5 to 6 strokes.

6Divide dough in half. Roll or pat each half into a 6 inch circle that is 3/4 inch thick. Cut each circle into wedges and place on baking sheet. Brush with egg and water mixture.

7Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
