1/2 calmond meal

1 cdark brown sugar

3 Tbspdark molasses

1 ccream

1/4 coil

1 Tbspcinnamon

1 tspginger

1 tspallspice, ground

1 Tbspbaking soda

1 pinchkosher salt

1 Tbsporange extract
-
1 Tbsporange zest

1/2 cdark chocolate morsels

1/8 ccranberries, dried

1/8 ccurrants, dried

1/4 cwhole almonds, blanched

apricot jam
-
boysenberry, raspberry, or blueberry jam

colored sugar crystals, optional

powdered sugar
How To Make christmas jam torte - chocolate winterberry almond

1Mix the first 14 ingredients in a mixing bowl. Blend well.

2Then fold in berries, chocolate, and almonds.

3Pour half the batter into a tin sprayed with Baker's Joy.

4Then spread alternately stripes of apricot and boysenberry jam, keeping a half an inch from the edge of the pie.

5Pour the rest of the batter atop.

6Bake at 325F until cooked throughout, about 20 minutes.

7Wait about 10-15 minutes, then remove from tin onto cake stand.

8Optionally sprinkle with powdered sugar.
