chocolate syrup cake
While cleaning the office the other day me and my mom came across a little card box that turned out to be my grandmother's recipe box (my grandmother passed away five years ago). My mom became teary-eyed holding one of the recipe cards, and when I asked her about it she said the following cake recipe was one of her favorite ones her mom had made for them. She made it for us the other day and it was so wonderful I just had to share it. Not exactly diet-friendly, but then again, most great desserts aren't XD This cake is extremely easy to make and is unusual in the fact that the frosting is added to the cake while the cake is still hot. Especially delicious eaten with some ice cream. Note: Recently my mom experimented by adding chopped walnuts to the top of the icing...this made a great cake even better!
