For the chocolate lovers, I created a second recipe of flavored oats laker cake. This one is chocolate, filled with chocolate sauteed oats inside the cake.

Ingredients For chocolate oats layer cake

3 crolled oats, divided
-
1 pkginstant chocolate pudding mix

2 cchocolate milk, divided

1 cmilk chocolate chips, divided

20chocolate covered almonds, chopped

1 boxtriple chocolate fudge cake mix
-
1 1/4 cwater
-
1/2 cvegetable oil
-
3large eggs
-
1 Tbspmargarine
-
1 1/2 cchocolate syrup, divided

1 cheavy cream
-
3 Tbspmalted milk powder
-
8 ozcream cheese, softened
-
3/4 cNutella
-
3/4 cchocolate covered raisins
How To Make chocolate oats layer cake

1In a medium jar, combine 1 cup rolled oats, the pudding mix, 1 cup chocolate milk and 1/2 cup chocolate chips; use a fork and stir well until blended. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.

2Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

3Coat two 8 round cake pans with cooking spray. Add the chopped chocolate covered almonds to the bottom of the cake pans.

4Whisk the cake mix, water, vegetable oil and eggs together in a large bowl for 3 minutes until combined.

5Add the chocolate oat mixture into the cake batter and whisk again for 30 seconds until blended.

6Pour the cake batter into the cake pans. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes.

7Heat the margarine in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add remaining rolled oats and saute for 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 cup chocolate syrup.

8In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, remaining chocolate milk, malted milk powder, cream cheese and remaining chocolate syrup; whisk well for 5 minutes or until smooth.

9Place one layer of cake on a serving plate. Spread Nutella evenly over the cake. Add the sauteed oat mixture and chocolate covered raisins.

10Place another cake on top. Spread the frosting on the top and sides of the cake. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips evenly over the top.
