This recipe was given to me when I first got married back in 1973 by a fellow navy wife. It's easy to make and extreemly moist and flavorful.

Ingredients For chocolate mayonaise cake

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 5 Tbsp
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 1/2 c
    mayonaise

How To Make chocolate mayonaise cake

  • 1
    MIX TOGETHER THE FLOUR, SUGAR, BAKING SODA & COCOA WITH A WIRE WISK.

    ADD THE WATER & MAYONAISE AND STIR WELL.

    ADD THE VANILLA LAST AND STIR TO COMBINE.

    PUT INTO A WELL GREASED AND FLOURED CAKE PAN. BAKE FOR 40-45 MINUTES AT 350.
