Ingredients For chocolate marshmallow cake with ganache

  • 1 box
    chocolate cake mix
  • 1 bag
    marshmallows
  • 1/2 jar
    caramel sauce
  • 3
    eggs
  • cooking oil
  • GANACHE
  • 3 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 6 Tbsp
    milk
  • 8 Tbsp
    powdered sugar

How To Make chocolate marshmallow cake with ganache

    Mix cake according to directions on box. Bake.

    Poke holes in cake. Poor caramel sauce over cake while still warm. Adds incredible moisture.

    Place marshmallows atop cake immediately after caramel has been added. You want these to partially melt. I like the flat large marshmallows for this but any will work.

    Drizzle caramel sauce over marshmallows Once cooled. Make ganache and pour over cake.

    Ganache Bring butter, milk and cocoa to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 8 heaping T of powdered sugar to hot mixture and blend well. Drizzle. Note: x2 for ganache is my preferred method. The second portion served warm on the side so guests can add to their serving.
