My family and friends love this cake. I have to make it a lot for them at holidays and special occasions. I hope you all love it as much as we do. It is a rich cake and very easy to make.

- CAKE INGREDIENTS SIFT TOGETHER FIRST 5 INGREDIENTS

2 cflour

3 Tbspcocoa, unsweetened

1/4 tspsalt

1/2 tspbaking soda
- ADD TO DRY INGREDIENTS AND MIX WELL AND POUR INTO GREASED 13 X 9 PAN

2 stickbutter, melted
-
1 cboiling water

1/2 cbuttermilk

2eggs

1 tspvanilla extract
- SAUCE FOR CAKE

1 csugar
-
1/2 cbuttermilk

1/2 tspbaking soda

1 stickbutter

1 Tbspcorn syrup, light

How To Make chocolate cake

1Mix cake well and pour into a well greased 13 x 9 baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. When cake has baked for 30 minutes, start ingredients for the sauce. Use a large sauce pan and start adding the ingredients. Boil for 15 minutes. When cake is done poke holes into cake with a fork and then pour the sauce over the cake while it is still warm. If you like, you can double the sauce ingredients. My family loves the sauce so I do double them. Enjoy!!!
