2 1/4 cflour

3/4 ccocoa, unsweetened

1 3/4 csugar

2 tspbaking soda

1 1/4 tspsalt

1 1/2 cbuttermilk

1 cvegetable oil

3 lgeggs

1 1/2 tspvanilla extract
- GANACHE
-
1/2 cheavy cream
-
2-3 Tbsppowdered sugar
-
2 tspbutter
-
4-ozsemi-sweet chocolate, chopped

How To Make chocolate-buttermilk bunt cake w/ ganache

1Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 10 inch bunt pan. Dust pan with cocoa powder.

2For the cake: In a large bowl sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add sugar.

3In a medium bowl whisk together buttermilk, eggs, oil and vanilla.

4Add buttermilk mixture to the flour mixture and whisk until smooth.

5Pour batter into the prepared bunt pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

6Cool in the pan on a wire rack for ten minutes. Run the tip of a thin knife around the edge of the cake to loosen. Invert onto the wire rack and cool completely.

7For Ganache: In a small sauce pan over med heat add cream, sugar, butter and vanilla. Heat until small bubbles begin to form around the edge of the pan and mixture is hot.

8Remove pan from heat and add chocolate. Whisk until melted.

9Drizzle ganache over the cooled bunt cake and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
