Made these last night, are not too sweet, but very good. I had a can of cherry pie filling I wanted rid of, so went recipe searching....needless to say they won't last long in this house..just enough sweetness to be satisfying..

Ingredients For cherry squares

1 cbutter ( softened)

2 csugar
-
4eggs
-
3 call purpose flour
-
1/2 tspalmond extract (i used vanilla)

1 lg21 oz can of cherry pie filling
How To Make cherry squares

1Cream butter and sugar together until very light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then beat in the extracts. Gradually mix in the flour until well incorporated.

2Spread 3/4 of the batter in the bottom of a 9"x13" pan lined with parchment paper. Scoop cherry pie filling over batter in pan.

3Drop remaining batter by spoonfuls over the cherries. Bake at 375 for 45 min. Let cool completely before slicing and serving.
