This Easy Danish style dessert comes from a Potluck. A member from our Church gave to me. Its pleasing to the Eye,with the red of the cherries and white of the icing & cream Cheese. Everyone will want a slice, with ice cream or whip cream, as she usually brings the whole treat, we're spoiled well!

Ingredients For "cherry cheese danish" n 1 dish

  • BATTER:
  • 1 1/2 C
    all purpose flour
  • 2 pkg
    (envelopes) fleischmann rapid rise yeast.
  • 1/4 C
    sugar
  • 1/4 Tsp
    salt
  • 2/3 C
    very warm milk (120-130) degrees
  • 1/2 C
    butter or margarine, melted
  • CREAM CHEESE TOPPING:
  • 1 pkg
    (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1
    egg yolk
  • 1/4 C
    sugar
  • 1 Tbs
    corn starch
  • 1 Tbs
    100% pure burbon vanilla extract (spice island)
  • CHERRY FILLING:
  • 2 cans
    cherry pie filling
  • ICING: FOR FINISHING
  • 3/4 C
    pdr sugar
  • 1 Tbs
    butter
  • 1/4 tsp
    pure burbon flavor vanilla extract (spice island)
  • 1 -1 1/2 Tbsp
    milk

How To Make "cherry cheese danish" n 1 dish

    Mix Batter together. Pour into pa sprayed 8X8 Baking dish. Let set to rest 10 -12 min.

    Beat all Cream Cheese Ingredients,Mix in edium bowl til smooth.

    Top the Batter with the Cream Cheese Mixture, Spread gently over this batter.

    Bake in Cold oven, @ 350 for 25-30 min. just to; cream cheese mixture is set. Remove From Oven; Spoon Cherry Pie filling over the cream cheese. Return to the oven for about 5-8 min.

    Cool 10- 20 min. Mix Icing ingredients, Drizzle over the top of the entire dish. Serve, Enjoy warm, or Cold, with a fresh cup of Coffee.
