This Easy Danish style dessert comes from a Potluck. A member from our Church gave to me. Its pleasing to the Eye,with the red of the cherries and white of the icing & cream Cheese. Everyone will want a slice, with ice cream or whip cream, as she usually brings the whole treat, we're spoiled well!

- BATTER:

1 1/2 Call purpose flour

2 pkg(envelopes) fleischmann rapid rise yeast.

1/4 Csugar

1/4 Tspsalt

2/3 Cvery warm milk (120-130) degrees

1/2 Cbutter or margarine, melted
- CREAM CHEESE TOPPING:

1 pkg(8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1egg yolk
-
1/4 Csugar

1 Tbscorn starch
-
1 Tbs100% pure burbon vanilla extract (spice island)
- CHERRY FILLING:
-
2 canscherry pie filling
- ICING: FOR FINISHING

3/4 Cpdr sugar

1 Tbsbutter
-
1/4 tsppure burbon flavor vanilla extract (spice island)

1 -1 1/2 Tbspmilk
How To Make "cherry cheese danish" n 1 dish

1Mix Batter together. Pour into pa sprayed 8X8 Baking dish. Let set to rest 10 -12 min.

2Beat all Cream Cheese Ingredients,Mix in edium bowl til smooth.

3Top the Batter with the Cream Cheese Mixture, Spread gently over this batter.

4Bake in Cold oven, @ 350 for 25-30 min. just to; cream cheese mixture is set. Remove From Oven; Spoon Cherry Pie filling over the cream cheese. Return to the oven for about 5-8 min.

5Cool 10- 20 min. Mix Icing ingredients, Drizzle over the top of the entire dish. Serve, Enjoy warm, or Cold, with a fresh cup of Coffee.
