Ingredients For spiced carrot cake

  • 2 c
    flour, all purpose
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1 tsp
    pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c
    applesauce
  • 3
    eggs
  • 3 c
    carrots, grated
  • 1 c
    walnuts, chopped
  • CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 12 oz
    powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp
    imitation vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk, 2%

How To Make spiced carrot cake

    Prepare (flour & grease) a 9x13 pan. Preheat oven to 350°F.

    In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients. Mix well. In another bowl combine all the wet ingredients. Mix well with a mixer until creamy.

    Combine the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix well with mixer. Fold in the Carrots and walnuts. Add to prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes.

    While the cake is baking you can make the yummy frosting. Add all the frosting ingredients and mix with a mixer until fluffy. Frost cake after it cools.
