It just doesn't get any better than this. In keeping with the Harvest season, I created this decadent cake. Hope you enjoy the moist and wonderful flavors blended in to this wonderful dessert.

Ingredients For caramel apple pear cake

  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 c
    chopped apples
  • 2 c
    chopped pear
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1 tsp
    allspice
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 jar
    caramel ice cream sauce

How To Make caramel apple pear cake

  • 1
    Blend sugars, apples, pears and nuts in a large bowl. Add vanilla, eggs and oil. Sift flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and allspice together and stir into apple/pear mixture. Grease and flour a 9x13" baking pan OR 2 loaf pans. Drizzle caramel ice cream sauce over the top of the unbaked cake. Bake for 1 hour in a preheated 325 degree oven After removing from oven and prior to cooling, drizzle an additional portion of the caramel sauce over the hot cakes. Serve with vanilla ice cream
