Ingredients For caramel apple cake

  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/3 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1 c
    flaked coconut
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    evaporated milk
  • 1/3 c
    water
  • 2 c
    fine shredded apples
  • caramel topping
  • 1/3 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter

How To Make caramel apple cake

    In bowl combine nuts, sugar and coconut, set aside. In amixing bowl combine the next 7 ingredients..In a small bowl combine eggs, milk, water and apples, add to flour mixture, mix well.

    Pour into a greased 9 by 13 pan, sprinkle with nut mixture, bake at 325F oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or til when a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Remove cake from ovev...In a saucepan combine the topping ingreddients cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved and mix thickens slightly about 8 to 10 minutes. poke holes with a fork on top of hot cake..cool on wire rack.
