I received this recipe about 30 years ago from a friend and it never fails to please. Once you try it, you truly can't get enough. It is a very thick batter and has to be mixed by hand and the amount of oil sounds like a lot but that's what the original recipe called for and the cake always turns out great.

2 cgranulated sugar

3 cplain flour

1 tspvanilla flavoring

1 tspsalt

3 lggranny smith apples diced (unpeeled)

1 1/2 ccooking oil

4 mdeggs

1 tspbaking powder

1 cchopped pecans

1 stickbutter
-
1/2 cbrown sugar packed

2 Tbspmilk
How To Make can't get enough apple pound cake

1Mix together by hand, first 9 ingredients. Pour mixture into greased and floured bunt pan or two loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees 1 hour 20 minutes.

2Glaze: Melt butter in small sauce pan. Add brown sugar stirring until melted, bring to boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in milk. Pour over hot cake.
