Ingredients For butterscotch pudding cake

  • 3 c
    water
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour

How To Make butterscotch pudding cake

  • Skillet with water, brown sugar and butter, simmer to make the pudding.

    in a cast iron skillet put water, brown sugar and 2 Tbs butter, bring to a simmer

    while that is simmering make the batter.
  • the batter will be stiff and have lumps....thats ok

    in med. bowl cut 1/2 cup and 2 Tbs of butter into flour. Add sugar, baking powder, vanilla and milk.

    mix together until blended, will be stiff.

    Turn off iron skillet.
  • Put scoops of batter in the skillet

    drop scoops of batter into iron skillet until all the batter is gone.
  • nice and golden brown

    Put skillet in oven and bake at 350 for 20 min or until batter is golden brown and firm.
