Ingredients For butterscotch apple bar/cake

  • CAKE:
  • 18 oz
    yellow cake mix
  • 3 oz
    pkg. instant butterscotch pudding
  • 2 md
    eggs
  • 1 1/3 c
    milk or water
  • TOPPING:
  • 2 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 2 c
    peeled. thinly sliced cooking apples
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/3 c
    butterscotch chips
  • 1/3 c
    chopped walnuts

How To Make butterscotch apple bar/cake

    Preheat oven to 350^. Grease and flour a 15x10-inch jelly roll baking pan for bar-like or 9x13 for cake like. Bake the same..checking for doneness. In a large bowl blend cake mix, dry pudding mix, eggs and milk or water until moistened- then beat for 2 minutes on medium speed. Pour into prepared pan. Combine apples, sugar and cinnamon- sprinkle on top of batter. Sprinkle chips and nuts over all. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick tests out clean.
