sugar
2 c

raisins
2 c

water
1 c

lard
2 Tbsp

cloves
2 tsp

cinnamon
2 tsp

baking soda
1 tsp

salt
3 c

flour

How To Make boiled spice cake

Boil and cool, add 2 tsp. soda 1 tsp. salt and 3 c. four. Makes 2 good sized cakes. Bake 1 hour at 350.
