Ingredients For blueberry lemon cake

  • 1/4 c
    butter, cubed
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    grated lemon peel, divided
  • 2 c
    fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 pkg
    (9 ounces) yellow cake mix.

How To Make blueberry lemon cake

  • 1
    In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in sugar until dissolved. add 1 tsp lemon peel. pour into a 8 in square baking dish. arrange blueberries in a single layer over top;set aside.

    Prepare cake batter according to package directions. stir in the remaining lemon peel. carefully pour over blueberries.

    bake at 350 for 30 to 35 mins or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. cool, serve with whipped topping. ummmmm
