I have had this recipe since the early sixty's It was my ex mother in laws recipe. A personal note from her. When I bake this cake I drained a quart of berries and used all the berries. I like more than the recipe calls for. Your choice

How To Make blackberry cake

1Mix dry dry ingredients set a side. cream shortening and sugar together, add beaten eggs, Add milk and berries alternately with dry ingredients. I bake this in bunt cake pan

2Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or till a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center of cake. May frost with caramel Icing or eat plain
