This quick and easy chocolate cake adds a zing with the dried cherries added. The perfect dessert to serve with coffee after a delightful meal.

Ingredients For black forest cake

  • 1 box
    dark chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 3 lg
    eggs
  • 1 Tbsp
    almond extract
  • 1 c
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    dried cherries
  • 1 can
    cherry pie filling

How To Make black forest cake

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease Bundt pan
  • 2
    Using electric mixer, mix together cake mix, eggs, almond extract until completely blended. Fold in pie filling and chocolate chips.

    Pour int Bundt pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes then remove from pan and allow cake to cool completely

    Make a glaze by heating 1 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp milk and 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips. Stir continuously. Do not burn.

    Once the chips are melted,, add 1/2 cup confectioners sugar. Spread glaze over cooled cake and let drip down cracks of bundt cake. onto floor of cake pan. Sprinkle lightly with confectioners sugar on top. Enjoy
