basic lemon bundt cake

I have a friend who said they wished they had a good, basic lemon cake recipe that tasted like real lemons and not just a yellow cake mix (her words!). I found this recipe online (allrecipes) and added a little more lemony goodness to it.

Ingredients For basic lemon bundt cake
- CAKE

1 cbutter, softened

2 csugar

4eggs
-
1 1/2 tsplemon extract

1 1/2 tspvanilla

1 cjuice of 3 lemons + milk to make 1 cup total

3 cflour
-
2 tspbaking powder

1 Tbsplemon zest (i used zest of 3 lemons)
- GLAZE

1/4 clemon juice
-
1 Tbspwater
-
1/2 tsplemon extract
-
3/4 cpowdered sugar

zest of 1 lemon
How To Make basic lemon bundt cake

1Heat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease bundt pan.

2Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, combining well after each egg. Add in extracts. Combine flour and powder. Add to sugar mixture 1 cup at a time, alternating with milk/lemon juice. Stir in zest.

3Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes until wooden pick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan pan for 10 minutes before inverting on pan/wire rack to cool completely.

4Prepare glaze by combining all ingredients together until smooth. Drizzle over smooth cake and pucker up!!!
