Ingredients For banana snack cake

1/2 cshortening

3/4 cbrown sugar

1/2 csugar

2eggs
-
2-3 mdbananas

1 tspvanilla extract

2 call purpose or wheat flour

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspsalt

1/2 cbuttermilk
- FROSTING

1/2 cbrown sugar

1/4 cbutter

6 Tbsp2% milk
-
2 1/2 - 3 cpowdered sugar
How To Make banana snack cake

1In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugars until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Beat in bananas and vanilla.

4Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.

5Add to the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition.

6Stir in nuts, if desired.

7Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

9In a large saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter and milk.

10Bring to a boil over medium heat; boil and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; cool to lukewarm.

11Gradually beat in powdered sugar until frosting reaches spreading consistency and then frost the cake and enjoy!
