Oh yes you heard this right. "Banana pound cake". This is the lightest Most Moist Pound Cake you'll ever taste. We Love Pound cake and seems I always have bananas that get over ripe and needed to do something with them not to waste food. So I came up with this idea. and get raves each time I make this. The Smell and the Aroma in the Kitchen, & thru out the House brings my Husband out of the Garage and into the house saying "something smells really good". This was actually an accident that I put together, as I was Baking and was out of things I needed, So I came up with this and Never forgot the ingredients.

Ingredients For banana pound cake

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    crisco oil (vegetable oil) do not use shortening
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    banana liquor ( found in liquor stores)
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    bisquick mix
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    allpice
  • 4
    ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 can
    (8 oz ) pineapple, crushed with juice . . (optional)
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts . . . .(optional)

How To Make banana pound cake

    Preheat Oven @ 350 Degrees.

    Beat very well Sugar, Eggs, Oil, & Liquid Flavorings together.

    Sift Flour, add Soda, Salt, Cinnamon, & Allspice together. Add Bisquick.

    Blend dry ingredients into wet ingredients real well.

    Add Mashed Bananas, Stir well. Add: (Optional Pineapple with Juice and Nuts, Now). . stir very well.

    Pour ino **ungreased** angel food pan, or Bunt pan or 4 mini loaf pans.

    Bake @ 350 for 1 hr. then reduce to 325 for 20 min. Mini Loaf pans bake for 40-50 min. until knife incerted comes out clean. cool 20 min. then remove from pan to fully cool.
