Ingredients For banana nut cake

1/2 cmargarine, softened

1-1/2 clight brown sugar

2 lgeggs

1-1/2 tspvanilla flavoring (recipe don't call for it, but i add it)

2 call-purpose flour

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tspsoda

1/4 cbuttermilk

1 cmashed bananas
-
1 cchopped nuts
- ICING

1 stickmargarine
-
1 clight brown sugar
-
2/3 cevaporated milk
-
1-1/2 tspvanilla flavoring (recipe don't call for it, but i add it)
How To Make banana nut cake

1Cream sugar, butter, eggs and flavoring until fluffy and smooth. Sift together flour, salt and soda; add to dry mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Stir in bananas and chopped nuts.

2Pour into a greased 9 inch square pan (I use a 9 x 9 x 2). Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

3In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients. Boil until slightly thickened. You can also add chopped nuts to the icing, if desired. Spread on cooled cake.
