Ingredients For banana-chocolate bundt cake

  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1 c
    chocolate chips, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/3 c
    buttermilk, i used fat free
  • 3/4 c
    light olive oil
  • 1-1/3 c
    sugar
  • 3 lg
    eggs
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    ripe mashed bananas
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 2-1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter

How To Make banana-chocolate bundt cake

    Heat oven to 350 Spray a 10" bundt pan w/ cooking spray. In small bowl, combine 1st 4 ingredients, set aside. In lg bowl whisk together buttermilk, oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla.

    Beat in remaining dry ingredients until combined. Stir in bananas. Spoon 1/3 cup batter into pan. Sprinkle w/ 1/2 the walnut/chocolate chips mix.

    Spoon another 1/3 cup batter over walnut mix, sprinkle w/ remaining walnut mix. Bake about 50 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. While cake cools, Melt remaining chocolate chips and butter in microwave, stirring until melted. Let cool slightly, then drizzle over cake.
