Ingredients For banana chocolate brunch cake

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 t. baking powder
  • 1/2 t. baking soda
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups mashed banana, about 3 large bananas
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 5 oz. bittersweet chocolate, grated
  • 2 1/2 t. boiling water

How To Make banana chocolate brunch cake

    Preheat oven to 350. Butter and flour a 9 inch springform pan. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in large bowl. Mix the banana, milk and egg in a medium bowl, stirring until well blended. Add banana mixture to the flour mixture, stirring just until moist. Gently fold in half the chocolate. Spoon the batter into the prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 30 to 40 minutes. Cool in pan for 5 minutes on a wire rack, then remove form pan and let cool completely. Put the remaining chocolate and water in a small pan over low heat until melted. Stir until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake. Serves 8 to 10 The Golden Book of Chocolate
