This is a tried and true family favorite recipe from my friend Wanda.Some of the family members prefer for the cake to fall.

Ingredients For aunt ernice's pound cake

3 csugar

3 cflour
-
3 stickbutter

6eggs
-
1-1/2 cmilk

1/4 tspsalt

2 tsppure vanilla extract

3 tspbaking powder
How To Make aunt ernice's pound cake

1Cream butter and sugar until fluffy and light.

2Beat in eggs one at a time.

3Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then add 1/4 of dry ingred. to sugar/butter/egg mixture; mix well. Continue adding dry ingred. in fourths.

4Add milk and mix well at medium speed, then stir in vanilla.

5Grease and flour a large TUBE pan. Pour batter in slowly. Bake at 325 degrees for about one hour.
