2 cunbleached all purpose flour

1-1/2 tspbaking soda

2 tspvanilla extract

2 capplesauce, unsweetened

1/2 cchopped walnuts
How To Make applesauce cakes

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Grease and flour 9X13 inch pan. Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Det aside.

3In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, using an electric mixer set on medium speed.

4Beat in the eggs one at a time. Blend in the vanilla extract. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the applesauce.

5Pour the batter into a 9x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.

6Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack. This can easily be made in a cupcake pan.
