Ingredients For applesauce cake

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    applesauce
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 1 c
    dates
  • 1 c
    pecans chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    blackberry jam, seedless
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/2 c
    shortening
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make applesauce cake

  • 1
    sift flour,cinnamon,nutmeg and salt. in a separte bowl cream sugar and shortening thoroughly. Add eggs. Stir soda into applesauce. Combine flour mixture and remaining ingredients. Pour into tub pan.

    Bake 350 degrees-1 hour
