Being from Washington we grow many wonderful apples. This can be eaten warm with cream on top as a pudding or cold as a cake. Either way you choose, it is delicious!

Ingredients For apple pudding

1 csugar

1/3 cshortening

1egg well beaten

1 1/2 cflour

1/2 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspnutmeg

1 tspbaking soda

2 cfinely chopped or grated apples
How To Make apple pudding

1Cream sugar, shortening and egg.

2Sift flour with soda, cinnamon and nutmeg and add to wet mixture. Mix well and add chopped apples.

3Grease bottom of 8 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until toothpick test shows clean.

4May be served warm with cream as a pudding, or let cool and eat plain as a cake.
